The Story:

Launched in 1917, Italian sunglasses brand Persol was founded as eyewear for pilots and racing drivers, with designs soon being adopted by the Italian military and later their most iconic wearer: Steve McQueen. In the 1930’s the company developed three technological innovations (their flexible temple, named the Meflecto system, a 3-notch bridge to provide a more comfortable curve for the nose and the Silver Arrow design) which still sets the brand apart today as the provider of some of the finest shades in the world.
