Opening his first boutique in 1970 at the age of just 24, the now knighted Paul Smith set in motion a journey which has lead to the creation of a brand with 12 different collections. Throughout his career, Smith has constantly surprised the fashion business, offering classic British cuts with a twist. Grey business suits worn with colourful floral shirts (often Liberty print) honoured the tradition of British tailoring and took it a step further into progressive fashion. Today, he is one of the UK's most celebrated industry icons.
