The Story:
Hailing from Melbourne, Lucy Folk’s brand of boundary pushing jewellery design has quickly gained recognition with her winning the accolade of “Accessory Designer of the Year” from Marie Claire magazine in 2009. Graduating in gold and silversmithing, self-confessed foodie, Folk’s career began in 2005 when she launched her first collection of 18carat gold plated and solid silver jewellery based around the concept of “wearable food”. Her kitsch designs go against the grain and have developed a cult following amongst a horde of celebrities. Folk’s beautiful friendship bracelets, complete with taco inspired silver and gold embellishments perfectly capture the essence of this season’s global trend.
