Halston Heritage
The Story:
Back in the 1960s, Bergdorf Goodman's head Milliner, Halston, designed a pillbox hat for Jacqueline Kennedy. That hat was showcased at Kennedy's Presidential Inauguration and went down a storm with the American public, making Halston an instant fashion hit. He designed his first ready-to-wear line in the 1970s amid disco fever in the days of Studio 54 and partied hard with the New York set. Friends like Bianca Jagger and Liza Minelli could not have been better poster girls for the hip, glamorous label and in 2009, after his death in the 90s, Halston Heritage was born. The label is now entering an exciting new era as Ben Malka, former president of BCBG Max Azria has just been named CEO.
