The Antik Batik Story:

Founded by Gabriella Cortese in 1992, Antik Batik was a trailblazer in launching bohemian fashion. As an Italian living in Paris who travelled to the likes of Indonesia, it's easy to see where her sometimes European but largely eclectic taste was derived from. Embellishment and prints are important components in the collection, which is heavily underwritten with a unique brand of femininity

For Spring/Summer 2008:

Boldly patterned kaftans in tropical brights, and bejewelled leather gladiator sandals make for the perfect holiday wardrobe. Classic white tops with butterfly sleeve detailing look fresh while intricately beaded silk dresses and bold jumpsuits will inject fun to your look

Although often imitated, no other brand quite matches up to the Antik Batik blend of vintage detailing, folkloric musings, and contemporary design.
