I could write paeans to the beauty of Skovgaard’s signature
corrugated sole, I really could; and I so like the contrast
between the trad patent court style of the main shoe and
the punk of the sole detail on this shoe. It’s a high one, and
it’s not the easiest thing ever to walk in - but it’s not fatal
either, and that tread does provide protection against
stumbling. And whatevs... it’s generally gorgeous enough
to make some degree of jeopardy worth it.

particularly stable, and they
look excellent with a J Brand
crop flare. I can virtually
bounce in them.

I am totally entranced by the colour of this shoe;
and I have something of a soft spot for suede
anyway - this was always gonna be a winner for me.
Nicely structured, very pretty without being
super-girlie and plays well against the colour of this
dress (if I say it myself...)

Hello, chicness. A proper lady shoe with
a substantial usefulness factor; excellent
for summer, and I can see it transitioning
into next season with judicious use of a
mid-grey ankle sock, too.

Is there an easier way to edge up an outfit, than by
mixing it up with a shoe boot? I doubt it. This variant
on the piece-we-didn’t-know-we-could-live-without
until a year or so ago is especially versatile; the heel
height is practical, but the conical shape makes it cool,
and the peep toe makes it summer.
