As a long term fan of the wide leg (yes, even secretly during the skinny-only era) I am so excited about stepping into the highest platforms and back into my flares. It is by far the most flattering cut out there, skinny on the thigh and kicked out at the ankle, it creates the perfect streamlined silhouette, which works just as well in the office as it does at the weekend. There is a danger of falling into dressing-up territory so I’ll be careful to keep it catwalk Chloé and not Abba. My style heroine for the season is Charlie Girl, star of those iconic perfume ads from the 70s, all swishy hair and go-getting attitude.
