Bass Weejuns
The Story:
Bass Weejuns, meant to sound like Norwegian due to the slip on shoes worn by the farmers there, is a true American classic championed by the Ivy Leaguers. Founded in 1876, the classic Penny Loafers were introduced in 1936 as the signature shoe and have been a popular choice for generations. Most famously, Michael Jackson slipped on some white socks and made history with a pair of Weejuns back in the 1970s.
