The Story:
Carhartt's rugged work-wear meets Adam Kimmel's high fashion flair this season in one of the most widely anticipated collaborations of the year. Originally founded in 1899 as an outfitter for American railroad workers, Carhartt now appeals as much to the outdoor worker as the keen fashion follower. Adam Kimmel, who says he has been a fan of Carhartt since the age of ten, first studied architecture at NYU, later to find his true calling was fashion. In 2002 he launched his own label and from then on he's been a star of men's understated, high-end design.
Expect familiar Carhartt fabrications such as hardy twill and indigo dyed canvas fused with Kimmel's love of pocket detailing and traditional cuts with a modern twist. Easy-to-wear but far from ordinary, this is a collection to savour.
