McQ Alexander McQueen

Alexander McQueen, the Enfant Terrible of British fashion, has whipped up a design storm since he burst onto the scene with his now infamous graduate MA collection – bought in its entirety by the late great Isabella Blow. Following the success of his self-named mainline launch – which since 2000 has been partnered with the Gucci Group – he went on to launch the more youthful McQ Alexander McQueen in January 2006. The McQ collection looks to the spirit of the 1960s and 1970s.

The McQ Alexander McQueen Collection:

McQ's chunky ombre knits and plaid dresses sit alongside sexy "I just threw this on" T-shirts and even sexier kimono dresses.

Last Word:

Alexander McQueen was named British Designer of the Year four times in 1996, 1997, 2001, and 2003. In June of the same year he was honoured with CBE by her Majesty the Queen.
